Join us Saturday morning, April 24, for the 11th Annual Red Poppy Festival Parade. This year we will be “Painting the GeorgeTown Red!!” Free red balloons will be given along the parade route and the Square will be decorated with dozens of painted red poppies. Perfect for bringing in our spring parade!
The parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. and work its way through beautiful, downtown Georgetown. The parade hosts the Georgetown High School Marching Band and Georgettes, princesses, clowns, floats, businesses, school and community organizations – all decorated and costumed in RED! Wear red and come watch the parade and support your community. Are you feeling the red yet?
Line up on Austin Avenue or Church Street between 6th and 10th Streets to watch. Everyone loves a Parade!! Parade questions can be directed to Karen Frost, Parade Coordinator. Please call (512) 930-2545 or email kfrost@georgetowntx.org.
The 2010 Parade Application and instructions and map are shown below. Applications will be due back by April 11th. The Parade route and line-up area have changed – be sure to check out the new map and parking areas before heading out -
